Failed Times Square Car Bomb Parked Next to the Marriott Marquis Hotel

As you have most likely heard by now, there was a failed car bombing attempt in the center of New York City’s Times Square on Saturday night. The only reason it was a “failed” attempt is due to the amateurish nature of the bomb, which comprised of consumer-grade fireworks, propane tanks, gasoline, fertilizer and two alarm clocks set to go off at midnight, all in the back of a Nissan Pathfinder SUV parked near an eagle-eyed street vendor, who noticed smoke and called the police.

As a result of this emergency, all of Times Square was evacuated of pedestrians, office workers and of course, tourists staying in Times Square-area hotels. The largest evacuation of guests happened with
