Atlantic Grill on the Upper West Side: First Look

3 September 2010 No Comment

The second location of Atlantic Grill is set to open in the Upper West Side’s former O’Neal’s space tomorrow. The menu from chef Chris Lim, while expectedly heavy on the fin fare, will be a bit different than the one at the UES original. Expect the likes of a seared octopus appetizer served with smoked paprika, chickpeas, carrot salad and mint ($17) and mains like Atlantic halibut with orange zest, water spinach, black trumpets and Rioja sauce ($30). The formerly pubby space has been classed-up, with a sleek interior that feels very Old Manhattan. A long oyster bar lines a side of the room, and there are red leather banquettes perfect for opera fans to hold court pre- or post-show (49 W. 64th St., 212-787-4663).
